How to get mentally prepared for a show

1. If a sword is one of your props, visibly wear it walking into the venue to remind yourself that you are going to kill it.
   
2. Play and win at Soul Caliber, Virtua Fighter or Tekken the day before in preparation for victory.
   
3. Visualize the bowl of ramen or similar that you are going to treat yourself to with the show money when it’s all over.  
   
4. Place yourself in the unaware shoes of your audience and know that they know not what is about to hit them.
   
5. Summon your not-about-you-self and know that whatever happens, good or bad, will happen to not-you because performing is not about you. You are them.
   
6. Think prayerful last-thoughts before you enter no-mind stance.
   
7. Every meeting is a reunion. Look with compassion at the audience and meet your destiny.
